We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our Technology team at AME Group. Our offices in Alberta are located in Calgary and Edmonton.

We invite candidates to apply to this role if they are able to commute to any one of those locations daily.


In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, development, and maintenance of BIM processes and technologies within AME Group.

You will collaborate closely with BIM Coordinators and project teams to ensure the effective utilization of BIM tools and methodologies throughout the design, construction, and operation phases of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage team of BIM Coordinators to ensure company standards BIM are implemented on all projects. Manage the BIM group to meet the needs of the project deliverables in both quality and efficiency as defined by the team leaders.
  • Lead the internal BIM team with a focus on high employee engagement, recognition for great work and the team members' professional development.
  • Lead the implementation of internal BIM training programs for all technical staff. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in BIM processes.
  • Implement QA/QC processes to ensure that AME's quality goals are maintained. Ensure compliance with industry and companyspecific BIM and drafting standards.
  • Conduct regular model reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Manage, implement, and continuously improve clash detection and resolution processes.
  • Ensure clash detection & coordination are being performed on all projects. Lead and manage the development, execution and maintenance of templates, tools, and addons for Revit to improve efficiency and productivity of all projects.
  • Provide support to project teams on BIM tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Act as a resource for troubleshooting BIMrelated issues and challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in BIM. Evaluate and recommend new BIM tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical input on additional tools to increase productivity, workflow and drawing quality. Experience with Dynamo, Python, C# and/or VB will be considered an Asset.
Key Skills

  • Uptodate knowledge of construction processes and methods
  • Proficient in following software: Microsoft office suite, AutoDesk Revit, AutoDesk BIM 360, AutoDesk Construction Cloud. Knowledgably with AutoDesk AutoCAD an asset. Knowledgeable in Python/Dynamo a strong asset. Knowledgeable in other programming languages (C#, VB) a strong asset. Knowledgeable in HVAC, Plumbing or Fire Protection Design preferred.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Building Information Modelling Program (BIM) or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. OR equivalent experience.
  • BIM certification or relevant professional accreditation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a BIMrelated role, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • Knowledge of Revit API & Dynamo
  • Strong understanding of BIM concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing BIM processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations related to BIM, such as COBie, and LOD.
