We are looking to add more workers for our ON CALL Tractor/Loader Operator Snow Removal Crew

Job Description:

  • Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events
  • You must be available and ready to work when called upon 24/
  • Reliable and dedicated
  • Physically fit ability to lift 50lbs
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Duties May Include:

  • Removing of snow
  • Salting
  • Maintaining residential and commercial properties
  • Cleaning of equipment
  • Previous experience considered an asset
  • Performing a daily circle check on equipment operated.
  • Following equipment maintenance schedule as required.
  • General labour duties such as preparing materials and cleanup of site area.
  • Following all Newport work policies, practices and procedures.
  • Other duties as required

ON-CALL EXPECTED 24/7

Wage: $30.00-$35.00/hour (rate based on experience) + $100.00/week ON-CALL PAY

  • 2 years Tractor/Loader Operating experience.
  • A valid driver's licence with the ability to get to and from the job site.
  • The ability to operate equipment safely.
  • All snow positions may lead to fulltime employment. Hiring for this position is ongoing and will be filled as required._
  • Contract Length: ASAP until April 1, 2023._
