This role is a part of our Flexible Work Program offering a hybrid work model. While up to 50% remote work is possible, the balance between in-office and remote work will depend on role requirements. It's essential to note that the 50/50 remote work setup is not guaranteed, and there might be instances where on-site presence is needed more frequently than remotely.

Base salary is determined based on various factors, including education, training, experience, and internal equity.

Summary

Reporting to the Executive VP, the Project Director oversees multiple project teams' overall management. Responsibilities involve coordinating and leading partners, supervising the project team, and managing project execution, finances, administration, reporting, and evaluation. Ideally, candidates should possess over 10 years of experience managing institutional projects with budgets exceeding $100 million, including experience in healthcare facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and support all project aspects, ensuring profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all project facets in conjunction with the team, including conducting meetings, communicating project status, handling change orders and close-out processes.
  • Cultivate client relationships post project award to enhance client experience and retention.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the project team to meet project and department objectives.
  • Assist in securing new business by engaging in proposals, presentations, and contributing to business leads.
  • Offer preconstruction guidance, challenging the team to deliver value-centric designs.
  • Oversee project objectives, risks, budgets, staffing, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Stay updated on market trends to aid in developing effective bidding strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the team and clients to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Represent Scott Construction at company, industry, and community events.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of Project Management experience in institutional projects exceeding $100 million.
  • Experience managing healthcare projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in construction or engineering.
  • Proficiency in technology, including MS Office, Scheduling & PM software (Procore experience advantageous).
  • Knowledge of various contract forms and project delivery methods.
  • Strong expertise in reviewing and negotiating construction contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums and audiences.
  • Outstanding leadership and teambuilding skills.
  • Familiarity with bid preparation principles and procurement procedures.
  • Effective problem-solving and relationship-building capabilities.
