Responsibilities:

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Analytical Services.

  • Manages, monitors and reports on analytical asset usage & access across the organization to identify opportunities, gaps and inconsistencies in order to propose improvements to analytical management processes and practices.
  • Manages the rollout strategy and change for all business groups across the organization to ensure the successful adoption of new analytical assets, tools and services. Maintains and supports the analytics services catalogue for the corporation. Ensures the effective sharing of analytical assets across business communities to achieve development and resource efficiencies and reduction of redundant analytics.
  • Works with external vendors to manage licenses and external services. Collaborates with the business and relevant vendors to develop new analytical tool specifications and plans the implementation of changing or new technologies or solutions. Effectively communicates the business and technical benefits of the analytical tools to both business and technical audiences.

Job Responsibilities (continued):

  • Participates in the formulation of the BI&A strategic plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the existing business needs and usage patterns and that they will support future user requirements and priorities. Conducts market research and analysis to understand implications of relevant market trends and innovative analytic tools being developed in the industry to drive top line & bottom line growth.
  • Develops and coordinates the development of materials for clients including newsletters, user group meeting materials, tooling resource pages, tooling/asset release updates and overall analytics communications across the corporation.
  • Develops and leverages strong working relationships across BI&A, as well as the Procurement and Lines of Business communities to collaborate and achieve results in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Provides overall leadership, mentoring and coaching to the BI&A team. Champions the Corporate Values and Leadership Behaviours and Habits and provides opportunities for professional development. Promotes a culture of engagement and continuous improvement where team members are involved and inspired to contribute to the teams' success.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in commerce, communications, information systems, computer science, or software engineering is preferred; Masters highly desirable.
  • Project Management certification is an asset.

Experience

  • 35 year's in relationship management and facilitation emphasis on coordinating customer relationship with internal functions/groups; ability to solve issues by coordinating across crossfunctional areas.
  • Experience in communications and change management activities.
  • Working knowledge of analytical concepts, techniques and technologies.
  • Knowledge of IT processes and infrastructure required to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the issues facing organizations undergoing change
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake and/or commission solution implementation projects.
  • Indepth knowledge of the product life cycle and how to manage it through opportunity identification, implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability and willingness to make decisions and to be accountable.
  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
  • Recognized change agent and a team player.
  • Program and Project implementation experience in Data Management.
  • Experience in strategic planning processes, especially in translating business needs to IT solutions.
  • Experienced in business analysis, business process improvement projects and/or metric management reporting.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience writing proposals and giving presentations to all levels of an organization.
  • Working knowledge of the following would also be an asset: Oracle, Business Objects, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP.
  • French is an asset.
