Our background
We're a small coffee roastery based in downtown Lunenburg in business for 20 years.

We are looking for a physically fit and detail minded person to put coffee beans (that are roasted on site) into our retail bags using a weigh fill machine.

We have a small production team who are supportive, hard working and fun.

Job Overview

  • This is mainly a physical job operating basic packaging equipment that requires careful attention to detail.
  • Being a problem solver, able to multitask, taking pride in a repetitive job well done and respecting deadlines is key.
  • Self motivated but comfortable working within a team structure.
  • It is essential to keep work space clean and well organized.
  • Maintaining a good work flow while multi tasking and paying attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard operating procedures to bag and grind our coffee beans.
  • Operate weigh/fill equipment, coffee grinders and label printers.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality control standards are being met.
  • Keep track of inventory of coffee packaged, bags and labels
  • Able to do very simple projections of how much product to bag on a daily basis.
  • Able to lift and move buckets up to 60 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills to print labels.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Previous work in a production setting and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a physicallydemanding role.
  • Being observant, detail minded, clean and organized.

Equipment used

  • Weigh fill bagging machine
  • Heat sealer
  • Coffee grinders
  • Label printer

On the personal side

  • Must have positive outlook and good work habits.
  • Must be a problem solver, team oriented and able to multi task.
  • Physically able to stand for 8 hrs while lifting, bending, twisting.
  • Ability to lift and pull up to lbs.
  • Fine motor skills to label bags and adjust equipment.
  • High standards for work performance from start to finish
  • Legally cleared to work in Canada with S.I.N.

Salary:
$17/hr - $19/hr. Depending on work experience and qualifications.

Job Type:
Full time, 8 hrs per day, permanent
