PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:


As the Business Transformation Partner (Procure to Pay), you will act as a strategic thinking partner to a key area of our railway business - aligning technology and process optimization priorities with CP strategic goals.

Working with senior leaders across the organization, you will facilitate process understanding and improvement within the Procure to Pay value stream and Corporate Services department while helping develop digital transformation roadmaps and strategies.

You will stimulate, surface and shape technology demand to support the roadmaps and strategies.

Finally, you will be a key contributor to the historic CP and KCS combination helping define the future vision and developing integration plans.


POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Use your Procure to Pay value stream knowledge and expertise to elicit business needs, facilitate improvements, and act on opportunities across all Procurement teams.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, earn trust, build credibility becoming a trusted advisor for the Information Services organization.
  • Roadmap development work with senior business leaders and Enterprise/Solution Architects to understand business and integration strategies then identify, elaborate and plan future integration and transformation programs and initiatives.


 Roadmap program/project delivery
  • Provide business support throughout execution of projects protecting business requirements and value delivered.
  • Facilitate process improvement through the identification of technology simplification, standardization, and automation processes/solutions.
  • Business case development work with senior business leaders, portfolio management, Enterprise Architecture, and IS delivery teams to develop business cases and funding requests supporting the roadmap.
  • Lead discussions across the organization to optimize/influence decision making, and drive value
  • Demonstrate CP's leadership competencies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 8+ years' experience in variety of Procurement roles.
  • Experience developing strategic plans, roadmaps and business cases.
  • High business IQ and ability to articulate the value of different strategies and programs.
  • Experience using design thinking methodologies to generate innovation is an asset.
  • 25 years' experience in business transformation or business relationship management would be an asset.
  • Experience and ability to work with Senior Leadership levels in the organization.
  • Applied understanding of data science.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience is an asset.
  • Highly analytical with experience in process mapping and business analysis.
  • Highly effective communicator, confident, passionate, clear, respectfully assertive and inspiring.
  • Displays emotional intelligence; demonstrates selfawareness and remains calm under pressure; expresses confidences in ability to succeed; keeps an optimistic attitude even when things are not going well.
