Infrastructure and Energy Transition Analyst, Capital Markets

As infrastructure and energy transition analyst with Desjardins Capital Markets, you help carry out financing and projects for members and clients that have a major impact on Desjardins Capital Markets and the fight against climate change. You support portfolio managers and business development as part of the strategic agreements with clients in the North American infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. You provide transaction execution support as well as portfolio management, financial modelling, credit analysis, documentation and industry-specific research to support infrastructure funding activities for strategic and important clients, most of whom are public and private companies and institutional investors. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge and interest in the infrastructure, renewable energy and responsible finance sectors. You must be detail-oriented and self-directed when carrying out comprehensive analyses and respect the tight deadlines for their delivery. More specifically, you will be required to :
Provide direct monitoring support for specialized financing portfolios in the infrastructure (public and private), renewable energy and energy transition sectors Prepare documentation for internal presentations on financing applications, annual reviews and amendments for new and existing clients Assess and monitor changes in existing borrowers' financial results and risks, including term loans, revolving credit and any other financial products Participate in the due diligence process by performing internal risk assessments for new and existing transactions, particularly by reviewing market studies, engineering reports, financial models, client financial information and project contracts Interact with internal business partners (for example, risk management, corporate financing, derivatives teams) and external business partners (for example, independent engineers, legal advisors and insurance advisors) Support the development of new responsible financial products that add value to clients and follow a responsible ESG approachWhat we offer*

Bachelor's degree in market finance, corporate finance or responsible finance or in a related field A minimum of six years of relevant experience Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered Experience in the infrastructure and energy transition sectors Academic specialty such as CFA, CPA, CAIA Knowledge of French is required Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients Advanced knowledge of financial structuring and financial modelling Advanced knowledge of credit and capital markets analysis Knowledge of infrastructure, renewable energy and responsible finance Business insight, Complexity#LI-Hybrid
