Role Summary:

The Production Scheduler is an integral member of the Supply Chain team.

The main function of this position is to develop and maintain an optimal production schedule that provides time sensitive direction to all the operations departments (Packaging, Brewing and Blending, Quality Reliability, Warehouse, and Supply Chain).

Strong ability to work cross functionally and develop trust in stakeholders will be a key success factor in the role.


Key Objectives/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the liquid and packaging production schedule, which maximizes efficiencies across brewing, blending, and packaging, while balancing conflicting customer requirements to find the simple optimal solution.
  • Drive results of Plant KPIs: Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Compliance to Schedule by ensuring an optimized achievable schedule for all departments
  • Adherence to timelines and actioning correctly the first time is a critical aspect of the role.
  • Build understanding of scheduling intricacies based on previous learnings to drive high operational effectiveness and execution.
  • Communicate schedule revisions amongst departments, while collaborating with those departments to problem solve in a timely manner.
  • Lead daily cross departmental production meetings, with the goal to address issues, establish priorities, and escalate action as required to minimize production impact.
  • Track performance, weekly attainment, and other scheduling related KPIs.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements, with opportunity to contribute creative ideas within supply chain planning.
  • Create production orders and releases in our ERP Microsoft Business Central (Microsoft NAV).
  • Other planning related duties as required / assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in multistage production planning or scheduling an asset
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Supply Chain, Packaging, or Operations role
  • Tenacious and adaptable ability to make decisions with best available knowledge under time pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Focus on results with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated planning and leadership skills with effective time management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Schedule:
