The NOFCS is a devoted non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of urban Indigenous individuals in the North Okanagan. Their mission is to offer culturally fitting health and social programs and services for the community in the North Okanagan.

Executive Director Job Description:

NOFCS is a committed non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of urban Indigenous people in the North Okanagan. The mission is to provide culturally appropriate health and social programs and services for the community.

Position Overview:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the organization.
- Oversee day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with the Board, staff, and stakeholders for effective program delivery.
- Secure funding and resources.
- Foster innovation, accountability, and inclusivity.

Responsibilities:
  1. Offer visionary leadership.
  2. Manage daily operations.
  3. Work with the Board on policies and strategic plans.
  4. Build relationships with communities and stakeholders.
  5. Lead fundraising and resource development.
  6. Ensure compliance and ethical standards.
  7. Promote a positive organizational culture.
  8. Represent the organization in various forums.
  9. Provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  10. Evaluate program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of senior non-profit leadership experience.
  • Strong commitment to Indigenous principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to strategize and innovate.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree required.
  • Indigenous heritage preferred.
Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience.
