The Position:


Reporting to the Project Manager Tech Road Map, the Change Manager will form part of the team of individuals charged with modernizing the CLHIA technology infrastructure.

This role will focus on individuals and change adaptation and is a 3-year contract.

The position package includes:

  • Hybrid work model based out of our Toronto office
  • Vacation pay based on hours worked

What you will be working on:

  • Gather and document business requirements
  • Work with business and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to generate individual and department level business requirements
  • Work with the Project Manager (PM) and Implementation Manger (IM) to ensure alignment with the system specs, technology choices and business needs
  • Sign off on system specs for the business with oversight of the PM
  • Create user cases and complete user acceptance testing on behalf of the business
  • Create and run the organizational change plan
  • Work with individuals to help them manage change
  • Escalate risks and issues to the PM and IM
  • Work with the CLHIA communications team to implement the communication plan
  • Create training documentation and train staff
  • Create and leverage a support network
  • Complete team and oneonone training
  • Coordinate the change control process when business or IT want to change the scope of the project
  • Manage the administration of change control process
  • Analyze change request working with the PM and IM to determine the best approach
  • Create the handover plan and run with it
  • Work with SMEs and business to define, document and implement new business processes
  • Work with the project team to establish go forward governance process.

What you will bring:

  • 510 years experience as a business analyst/business system analyst with change management/people transition focus in financial services or government
  • Lotus Notes/Domino experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of the life and health insurance industry, and/or experience with memberbased organizations
  • Organization, project, and time management skills to handle multiple projects, including those with tight timelines and changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively build relationships and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels within and outside the CLHIA
  • Bilingualism (English & French) an asset
