Job Description - Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of SREs, promoting a collaborative environment, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Promote the use of SRE best practices and ensure compliance with reliability and performance standards.
- Plan and set up highly accessible, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using AWS.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams and other SREs to influence design decisions that enhance system reliability and performance.
- Create and manage automation scripts and tools to simplify operations, deployments, and monitoring procedures.
- Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CloudFormation for infrastructure management. Establish and manage effective monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or New Relic.
- Lead incident response activities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Supervise the creation and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Ensure smooth and effective code deployment processes, reducing time to market and boosting system reliability. Optimization:
- Undertake performance optimization and capacity planning to ensure systems can accommodate increasing workloads. Troubleshooting skills. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in infrastructure and applications.
