    Description:
CHEO is a tertiary care pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa.

It is the acute care pediatric center for the Eastern Ontario Region where hospital-based laboratory medicine services are provided under the auspices of the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA).

CHEO has a very active Hematology/Oncology service with approximately 90 new oncologic diagnoses per year, as well as the second largest haemoglobinopathy program in Ontario.

The division also supports PICU, NICU, Cardiac Surgery (including ECMO) and the regional pediatric trauma program.
