Leadership 1: DEL Trainer

Salary:
$450-550/week based on experience
As part of your total compensation:

In this role, you will:
- Form positive individual relationships with participants
- Ensure that participants' life needs are met while at camp and on trip
- Provide adequate and engaged supervision of participants while at camp and on trip
- Proactively manage emotional and physical risk for participants and staff members on trip
- Develop and deliver a leadership program curriculum that fosters the development of positive group dynamics
- Provide opportunities for each individual participant to identify their own strengths and goals and to develop both their own character and their peer leadership skills
- Pack all food and equipment for trip, paying attention to dietary restrictions for participants
- Be committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
- Embrace and exemplify the Y's core values

Education and Skills Qualifications:
- National Lifeguard
- Standard First Aid, CPR C
- Wilderness First Aid
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Position Screening
- ORCKA Canoe Tripping Level
- Preferred Applicants: Strong leader with extensive camp outtripping experience who relates well to 15yearolds, and can deliver consistent and positive feedback.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
