Doing Right by People_ _is our purpose.

DOING RIGHT BY PEOPLE - IT'S WHAT WE DO:

As a _Manager, Strategic Projects_, your scope of influence will reflect the needs of a growing Service Organization by taking ownership of executing on departmental projects that lead to employee and client success.

These projects will be national in nature, allowing us to create or expand upon service models that best support clients from coast-to-coast.

Working closely with a team of Service Leaders, you will be primarily accountable for the execution of single or multi-year strategic projects defined by the department.

You will contribute to organizational priorities and spearhead a new _Voice of Service Program_.

With a strong understanding of both Client Service Representative and Implementation roles, you will play a secondary role in the identification of new improvements, while focusing the majority of time on the implementation of in-year solutions that improve our department's productivity and operations.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE PAYWORKS:

  • Comprehensive employer paid benefits for you and your family and excellent pension plan with employer contributions.
  • Plenty of professional development opportunities.

Communityminded culture
  • Receive two paid days per year to volunteer and lots of opportunity to "Pay it Forward".
  • Time and flexibility to meet your needs
  • Hybrid work model with flexible work options, plus 3 weeks vacation to start, flex time and parental leave benefits.

Cool perks
  • Annual wellness subsidy, Costco membership, fun office environment and events, regularly scheduled fitness classes, and more

FACILITATE A BETTER TOMORROW - IT'S WHAT YOU'LL DO***:

  • Drive Project Completion
  • You will take ownership to create project plans and deliverables to ensure that team objectives remain on track and success measures are met. While you will not have a team of direct reports, you bring a high desire for "getting things done" and a skillset to bring creative ideas to life. You will work collaboratively with others across the department to assist with project analysis, design, delivery, and change management. This includes presentations within the Service department, and reporting to Leaders or Management team members on the progress of strategic projects. You will also be responsible for helping create systems to measure and communicate the effectiveness and impact of initiatives following project completion.
-
Relentless about Improving
  • You will be accountable for working with peers to provide or validate insights to Business and IT Operations. Together with the _Manager, Service_, you will act as a secondary liaison on behalf of Service to ensure alignment with Departmental goals. You have a keen focus on productivity, and will participate as an Advisor in the exploration of new tools in the market that drive business value. Execution of projects that are owned by Business Operations will have representation from designated Service Leaders to be accountable for deliverables, making your role more of an Influencer to this work. You may be asked to validate where required, or to assist with informing an Internal Efficiency roadmap of items that have the greatest employee or client impact.
-
Manage a Program
  • As an inclusive team player, you will partner with Leaders to design and implement a new internal Feedback mechanism called a Voice of Service Program. Through this channel, you will gather input from Service and Implementation team members to assist with prioritizing operational and departmentspecific improvements. Certain improvements that can be owned and executed on by Service would be your responsibility; including working with Leaders from a change management and implementation lens.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 35 years' experience as a Project Manager or ownership of strategic projects through a Leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, investigate, and participate in consultative decisionmaking while exploring new possibilities and challenging the status quo; ideally, with previous experience owning a Product or Project(s) of large scale. Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Analytical and creative design thinking; experience working independently or with a team in a high capacity state.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with natural ability to display compassion, transparency, understanding, and respect.
