We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Network Security Applications Officer to join our team here at CadMakers. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with our senior development team, and you will be someone who lives, eats, and breathes security.

This role is ideal for someone who is flexible and willing to fill multiple roles in a smaller organization, be hands-on in all aspects of our network security processes, and help build a full security team as required as we grow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the security of our network applications, for developing security policies, and for independently managing our security infrastructure. Knowledge of Azure Purview, security frameworks, and RMM systems is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability assessments.
  • Comply with security standards.
  • Participate in Security Sprint Planning with the development team to ensure security tasks are continuously added to their sprints.
  • Understand the overall hosting infrastructure and assess weakest aspects of it.
  • Provide proper solutions with pros and cons for important security weaknesses.
  • Set up automated auditing and notifications across the entire infrastructure, using KQL or other log query language.
  • Automate end device deployment using RMM software and scripts to stay ahead of all new CVEs and security patches.
  • Develop and implement a zero trust security model.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to keep up to date with evolving technology and IT threats.
  • Fill multiple roles as needed and help build a full security team over time.
  • Must have at least 2 current Microsoft certifications (or equivalent), ideally Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
  • Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in network security, focusing on application security.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security and Assurance, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center and all Azure cloud services.
    • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Office 365, Azure infrastructure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and Active Directory (Entra ID)
    • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of on-premises and cloud security, including Microsoft tools and frameworks such as Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
    • Experience with Azure Purview for data governance and compliance.
  • Experience automating end device deployment and managing security patches
  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and secure coding practices.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization.

Salary Range

  • $90,000 to $130,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
