We are currently hiring for the position of:

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN


The Social Media Intern will report to the Social Media Content Manager and work closely with all members of the team to assist in the production of social media content for the Festival.

This role will also assist in online community management and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall include but not be limited to:_
  • Assist Social Media team in the production of social media content to support the Festival, including copy editing, media sourcing, image editing, factchecking, video uploading, and research.
  • Assist in design and video work, including, editing creative assets and cutting red carpet videos.
  • Assist in online community management, including engaging with online audiences, fielding customer relations questions, and monitoring online sentiment across social media inboxes.
  • Assist Senior Manager, Digital Engagement in compiling analytics reports for content performance and audience growth across social media platforms.
  • Assist in social media coverage of both online and (some) inperson events.
  • Work closely with other members of the social media team to deliver on robust campaigns and deadlines.

RATE OF PAY:

- $15.50/Hourly

  • July 10, 2023September 2, 2023 possibility for extension

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a love and curiosity around filmmaking and a strong understanding of the film industry.
  • An understanding of social media trends and best practices
  • A balance of strong grammar and communication skills, and a playful, memey social media voice.
  • Working understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work and respond well in fastpaced and high pressure environments with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends during peak periods leading up to and during the Festival.

c) legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislations and regulations.
