Position Summary:


The Training, Systems and Process Lead will assist the Manager in integrating and implementing business systems and processes to enhance functionality and efficiencies within the department.

The role will work with key stakeholders across the business to understand how the systems function together and provide opportunities and solutions to optimize their use within the business.

This role will rely heavily on process knowledge, industry best practice and influencing and relationship building skills to support initiatives that drive business results.


Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of operations which include but not limited to warehouse, inventory and transportation process and strategy with a focus on KPI definition, monitoring and improvement
  • Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop a strong grasp of team and company strategic direction, with the ability to use this understanding to provide the teams with insights and ideas for optimal execution. Develop and socialize best practice to ensure proper understanding of capabilities and initiatives in the market
  • Act as point person coordinating operations partners, local and Global IT/IS through system upgrades and troubleshooting system related issues in conjunction with key stakeholders (internal and external). Key areas of focus include defining success criteria and required information flow, the prioritization of projects and issues, resource allocation, and escalation as needed
  • Develop and manage functional change requisitions required by the different operations department stakeholders in conjunction with MB support departments. (SCIS, IT)
  • Evaluate technologies and processes to improve business system functionality
  • Accountable for the coordination of all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for any new functions within the systems
  • Ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders the status of the operations teams' initiatives
  • Accountable for managing the training standards for all operations department information systems and process. This will require the dissemination and socialization of internally developed training as well as SCIS training and certification frameworks
  • Support the Global team to find a solution that works for Canada when implementing new tools and processes
  • Support system/project/process definitions and benefits realization tracking during and after project lifecycles and use results to communicate and publish relevant business information with a focus on where to extract value and how to communicate that value across different levels of the business
  • Act as a support for project execution and governance within the operations departments in terms of project execution framework
  • Facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and gather inputs from operations employees to ensure system functionality is being used proficiently
  • Coach and develop future leaders with clear succession planning
  • Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in supply chain, business, operation management or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in transportation, warehouse or inventory & 13 years' experience leading a team
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and their functionality
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills with all levels of employees, management, and customer
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and operate effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills/initiatives
  • Ability to collaborate crossfunctionally to achieve business objectives
  • Exposure to distribution, transportation, supply chain, and inventory planning
  • This position must pass a postoffer background check

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of project management experience an asset.
  • Direct experience in distribution, transportation, warehouse, supply chain and inventory planning
  • Experience in Business Consulting, Resource Management or Solution Governance
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Six Sigma, Project Management or Supply Chain Designations
