We're looking for a skilled Powertrain Controls Engineer to join our team dedicated to the automotive industry.


NOTE:
Successful candidates should be ready to travel to the USA with no restrictions starting on the commencement date. This position is remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to the development of new features and improvements in current algorithms
• Collaborate with a diverse team, utilizing various tools (vehicle, HIL, Dyno, Virtual, rapid prototyping) following the V-model development process to ensure quality and resilience of the production algorithms
• Engage with different stakeholders to thoroughly comprehend the requirements
• Develop and execute high-voltage energy management strategies
• Evaluate and document control algorithms to meet regulatory standards
• Adjust models to guarantee that the design fulfills functional/operational necessities
• Validate control algorithms throughout the production phase
• Monitor project progress by creating plans, tracking advancements, and delivering technical reports to management and project leaders
• Engage in control strategy decisions to accomplish functional goals

REQUIRED SKILLS &

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold a Master of Science or an equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields from an accredited university, along with 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.

Alternatively, a PhD in the mentioned fields with practical industry-oriented research is preferred
Experience in control algorithm development
Proficiency in simulating dynamic systems using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools
Knowledge of electrified powertrain systems and high-voltage battery systems
Effective collaboration with global teams in a remote setting
PREFERRED SKILLS &

QUALIFICATIONS:

Understanding of classic control theory
Familiarity with optimization theory and optimal control
Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Showing dedication to work and the willingness to exceed expectations.
Self-motivated individual capable of working across functions with others
