Overview:


Reporting to the Manager, Pricing Operations, the Rate Groups Administrator is responsible for updating and maintaining the rate group system.

This includes adding and updating vehicle specifications and assigned rate groups for existing vehicles, monitoring for errors, and providing support to Customer Care Agents and Vehicle Safety related to rate group assignments, vehicle descriptions, and related items.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Customer Care Agents in assigning vehicle descriptions and rate groups for customerinitiated requests.
  • Analyze updated vehicle information received from the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC). Determine rate groups, based on IBC and corporate information, and if new vehicle descriptions are required.
  • Request vehicle inspections from Vehicle Safety when required to verify vehicle descriptions and updates Customer Care Agents on results.
  • Review various reports and information, research potential options to correct any vehicle description or rate group discrepancies and provide information and instructions to other departments as required.
  • Prepare and maintain tables and updated spreadsheets with additions and changes received from IBC and customerinitiated requests. Coordinate vehicle descriptions with IBC and the VINLink Decoder.
  • Monitor Insurance Workstation (IWS) reports to ensure vehicle description and/or rate group errors are addressed. Input vehicle descriptions, rate groups, and repoints into IWS; maintain appropriate documentation and provide recommendations to Customer Care Agents for resolution of outstanding issues, as required.
  • Assist in determining rate groups for the next insurance year, ensuring any updates conform to all rules. Eliminate unnecessary vehicle descriptions.
  • Research options to correct vehicle description or rate group discrepancies, ensuring consistency of rate groups.

Qualifications:

  • One year of experience working in an office or customerfocused environment.
  • Experience in broker enquiries in the Contact Centre or Claims is an asset.

  • Two years of experience working in an office or customerfocused environment.
  • Experience in broker enquiries in the Contact Centre or Claims is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of AOL and IWS is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is an asset.
