We are currently looking for individuals to join our client, one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies, as a Disability Calculation Analyst.

This role is open to candidates in Quebec and Ontario.

Responsibilities
As a Disability Calculation Analyst, your duties will be:

  • Long Term Disability claim approvals
  • Benefit Adjustments and recovering benefits overpaid
  • Financial duties such as stop payments, voids, refund deposits, Garnishments, processing TD1s and calculating employment income offsets on a frequent basis.
  • Performing other related tasks
Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills oral and written in French and English is required.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
  • Experience with accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payment or related duties in an administrative/clerical role would be an asset however University / College graduates would also be considered.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook / Office 365
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology would be an asset
  • Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment would be an asset
  • Insurance claims knowledge or experience
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits
  • Knowledge of Military Terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong mathematical aptitude
  • Analytical skills with a close attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Deadline driven
