About the position:


Reporting to the _Manager, In-Home Services and Meals on Wheels_, the _In-Home Services Assistant_ schedules coordination of community Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Home Support Workers (HSWs).

Also conducts in-home assessments and reassessments for personal support and home support and maintains up-to-date client records that support tracking and organizational data entry requirements

This position is located in Don Mills.

Eligibility:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; and
  • A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Scheduling/coordination
- client assessments
- problem-solving skills

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a postsecondary program (diploma or degree) in Social work, Social Service worker, or Gerontology is an asset.
  • Experience with documentation and strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with Seniors is an asset.
  • Successfully complete Vulnerable Sector Screening check.

Wage:
$16.50 per hour.

Schedule: 30 hours per week, for 9 weeks
