Applications are invited for the position of two (2) regular part-time Inquiry Response Team Associate in the International Division. The starting salary is $24.63 /hr for a 24-hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding and providing guidance to inquiries on complex processes related to admissions, finance, immigration, and registration at NC
  • Working in partnership with the greater international division to keep information up to date and accurate for referrals and responses
  • Reviewing college communications and revising canned message templates to ensure accurate information
  • Investigating inquiries to confirm information and move processes along (eg, withdraw inquiries, admission inquires, etc.)
  • Maintain an exceptional level of frontline service expectations with efficiency, active listening skills, and cultural sensitivity. Dealing with tense or repetitive calls and questions.
  • Working independently with minimum supervision and sound judgement to make decisions with mínimal direction

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) year diploma in Business, International Business, International Relations, Office Administration, Information Technology, or similar field of study
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of postsecondary education
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational, problem solving and prioritizing skills
  • Proven abilities in working independently, exercising initiative and good judgement, sensitivity and confidentiality in dealing with college staff, students and industry partners
  • Strong customer service and public relations/interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Open to flexible work hours and environments
  • Previous work experience in international students and logistics
  • Crosscultural skills and experience
  • Second or third languages an asset
