Venture Development Institute ("VDI") is currently looking for a full-time Investment Analyst, who will be responsible for analyzing a variety of start-up companies at various stages of their development.

The Investment Analyst will conduct equity research work and due diligence review of startup companies and investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring they are delivered on time
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners daily driving projects through to completion
  • Support the evaluation and assessment of investment
  • Clearly identity potential opportunities and issues with each investment
  • Monitor the progress of each of the portfolio companies and produce the required analysis
  • Maintaining and improving documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Degree in related field (Business, Finance, etc). other Degrees holders are encouraged to apply, as well
  • Willing to pursue CFA/CAIA/other professional development
  • Experience in G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs), Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of startups, business growth cycle, preparation of business plans, etc is critical
  • Minimum 12 years of work experience in this role or a similar role

  • Demonstrate interest and experience in technology, investment, finance, and entrepreneurship
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong initiative, ownershipofwork, and attentiontodetail with the ability to recognize relevant information and communicate a clear thought process
  • Applicants are comfortable working in a flexible, fastmoving environment
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills in handling multiple tasks
  • Positive attitude, detailed oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to quickly adapt to changing processes and procedures
  • Fastpaced environment, must be able to handle working with clients and partners is various global time zones and with tight deadlines
