Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Sr. Director, Supply Chain, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the commercial and operational needs of the business
  • Support and enforce safe supply chain ideology
  • Drive the implementation of inventory tracking system across all branches, working in conjunction with the appropriate CGC support departments
  • Create and develop project and action plans to source appropriate products to satisfy business needs
  • Develop processes to minimize shrinkage, spoilage and waste
  • Develop program to bring each branch to a 2 week rolling inventory plan
  • Train Warehouse managers to right ordering behaviours
  • Reviewing long-term stock outs to implement a permanent solution instead of leaving it to the branch to manually swap
  • Work with the sectors, analysts, and other internal stakeholders to proactively manage day-to-day processes and develop strategies for improvement
  • Proactively connect and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Steward commercial process to drive compliance and accountability
  • Identify process and commercial revenue and/or improvement opportunities to positively impact the business P&L
  • Resolve issues and opportunities that have been escalated
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate applicable process training

  • Post-secondary education, degree or diploma, in a business-related field
  • Supply Chain designation or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 3 years' experience in operations required; 2 years supply chain/procurement experience preferred
  • Strong project and change management experience
  • Analytical and logical thinking ability as well as proven time management skills
  • Ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
