DOZER OPERATOR for our Highway Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer to ensure that work is carried out according to company policies and procedures
  • Operate the Dozer in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tank
  • Operate computercontrolled equipment
  • Conduct preoperational checks on equipment
  • Secure special attachments to equipment
  • Operate dozer controls to regulate height and angle of a dozer blade and lower ripper to loosen packed soil to permit grading
  • Understand, interpret, and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
  • Operate a Dozer in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals
  • Operate a dozer within an active site occupied by other heavy equipment and ground personnel, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 13 years operator experience
  • Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently in a dynamic fast pace environment
  • Physically able to repetitively lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Hold a valid class 5 driver's license
  • Ability to work out of town
  • Punctual and able to work
