Orane is growing and opening a new location in Burnaby. You will be working in a start-up work environment. We are looking for a Makeup Trainer (Instructor) to join our creative team. This position is available in both full-time and part-time commitments.

How you can create an impact:

  • Assist with curriculum development with theoretical and practical component.
  • Train students on the course curriculum of makeup.
  • Effectively deliver training in both theoretical and practical means.
  • Develop written and practical assessment tests.
  • Submitting course feedback to the institution.
  • Lead skills test planning and execution
  • Work with management to help grow makeup department
  • Stay uptodate with the latest best practices, tools and technology in your field.
  • Assist student(s) cope up with any shortfalls or gaps occurring in their theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Prepare budget planning for makeup supplies and tools

The skills you bring:

  • Minimum 35 years' experience as a professional makeup artist/instructor.
  • Diploma from a school in Makeup or similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of social media skills like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and editing apps like Adobe, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to educate through clear communication and demonstration skills.
  • Motivation and drive to help start careers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative mindset and artistic personality.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with lighting and photography (preferably)
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of makeup products, techniques and technologies.
