Verdant is growing at a record pace and is looking for talent to support this hyper-growth.

We are presently looking for a credit and collections analyst who would be responsible for evaluating clients' account statements and financial transactions, analyzing their credit scores, and creating payment plans for outstanding debts
.



AS A COLLECTIONS ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments by conducting weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reviews.
  • Determine the reason for delinquency, reconcile accounts, and work cooperatively with our clients to negotiate resolutions.
  • Minimize bad debt exposure, maintain aging at an acceptable level by meeting targets to reduce delinquent accounts.
  • Restructure or revise payment terms with AR Manager and negotiate settlement agreement.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping and reporting on collection activity.
  • Communicate regularly with management on the status of accounts and escalations (Possible claim submission to our Insurance Company)
  • Providing customer service regarding collection issues.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Collections Department.

  • Online filing support sales inquiries.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • CEGEP Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience required.
  • Excellent diplomacy, negotiation, organizational and information management skills.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skill.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Credit insurance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
  • Highly organized, selfdisciplined with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various tasks.
  • Able to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset.
  • Experience with Oracle a strong asset.
