The team at Birk's is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Logistics Driver who is a team player.

Responsibility:

  • Operate a variety of trucks/equipment safely delivering materials to job sites and yard, including loading and unloading in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use required PPE and follow safety regulations
  • Fill out yard POs and perform pretrip, enroute and posttrip checks on trucks/equipment, inspect and sign off on deliveries and return all paperwork to the office daily
  • Local, shorthaul loads
  • Keep yard and material/inventory storage areas tidy and shop areas clean as required by Operations Manager

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience driving heavy trucks
  • Experience operating a roll off Bin Truck an asset
  • Career Oriented and Teachable
  • Basic measurement and calculation skills
  • Aptitude for physically demanding outdoor work during all types of weather conditions
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Current 'A', 'D' or 'C' license and clean driver's abstract
  • Experience driving trucks and trailer loading/offloading of machines in a secure manner to ensure all safety measures are met
  • Current Excavator & Skid Steer certifications
  • First Aid training and other certifications an asset
