Job Description_


As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll work in a dynamic and multifaceted environment and are responsible for working together with warehouse associates as well as overseeing the general operations of a warehouse and its staff.

The Warehouse Supervisor must have forklift experience and a positive can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to change.

You will handle the maintenance of inventory and shipments, advising and guiding the process of imports received and items exported.

In addition, you are able to professionally address customers, train new workers and ensure their performance is adequate.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_

  • Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods
  • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees' performance
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage area
  • Receiving, loading, and unloading products and packages to/from vehicles in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while exercising care and caution to avoid damages
  • Examining and monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments; Inspection for defects, damages, or missing orders
  • Facilitating the administration, storage, and control of materials onsite and at designated offsite locations
  • Arranging, coordinating & ensuring safe disposal or return of materials in accordance with company guidelines
  • Maintain records for material reconciliation
  • Identify, count, sort, pick, pack, unpack, stock, organize, label, stage, and move products within the warehouse
  • Processing, packaging, and shipping orders accurately
  • Maintain a positive working environment for all staff and actively work towards retaining high potential employees
  • Ensure equipment and tools available in the warehouse are in good working order and that manufacturerrecommended maintenance schedules are followed
  • Ensure that Company Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance, and Security standards are being met within the warehouse. Identify improvements to the work practices of personnel or facility improvements
  • Ensure operation of all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures; following best OHS practices
  • Accurately complete and maintain waybills, paperwork, customer invoices, orders, and delivery paperwork
  • Maintain accurate records and database of products to provide management of accurate representation of inventory
  • Organizing stocks and maintaining inventory. Assist during inventory counts as well
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and conduct at all times
  • Provide supervision and direction to Warehouse employees
  • Manage and administer staff vacation and work schedules
  • Monitor warehouse supply levels
  • Other general labourer duties may be required

Qualifications:_

  • Valid Class 5 (nonGDL) Driver's License required
  • Reliability and punctuality are a must
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 50lbs (23kg) individually
  • Ability to operate and handle material movement equipment (Forklift Operation Certification is a bonus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be a reliable team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
