MTE Logistix Group of Companies - CALGARY is looking for a highly productive and efficient
Warehouse Foreperson to join our team. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Foreperson is responsible for timely movement of products in and out of the warehouse, and ensuring that receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and storage functions are executed correctly. This position supports the Supervisor with floor coordination, ensuring employees adhere to safety processes and company policies, and team development and direction.

Location:
C4 Warehouse th Street SE, Calgary AB, T2C 3J7.

Schedule:2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

About You


Your ability to lead a team and support others with your knowledge, skills, and experience in a Warehouse and Distribution environment is second to none.

Your thorough understanding of shipping and receiving, storage (including food grade facilities), inventory control, and distribution make you the go-to person.

You have strong attention to detail, time management, and organization skills, and good housekeeping safety and continuous improvement is always your top priority.

You ensure your team has the training, tools, resources, and support necessary to complete the job effectively and efficiently.

  • Responsible for to ensure customer service requirements and resources are aligned to meet customer expectations.
  • Leads the team, verbally and in action, to deliver the company's "flexible client solutions" philosophy.
  • Accountable to be on the floor directing the warehouse team to operate safely and achieve effective space management, efficient use of time with high levels of productivity, extremely high levels of quality, and ensuring proper use of systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Responsible for warehouse orientations including team member coaching and development, training, assigning work tasks, scheduling, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; and ensuring team members adhere to policies and procedures.
  • A contributor to continuous improvement, operational deliverables, and strategic plan initiatives; productivity, quality, and meeting customer service standards.
  • Responsible for inventory movement, material scheduling, and coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Accountable for team members safe operations, good housekeeping, and reporting all incidents, first aid, near miss, deviations, or variances immediately to the appropriate party.
  • Participates in workplace incident investigations as appropriate.
  • Responsible to address workplace conflicts in a confidential, timely, respectful manner and report all occurrences to human resources.

What you need to Succeed

Must-Have

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED, with 5 years of leadership experience supervising a team of 1020 employees.
  • Proven ability at time management, organizing, problemsolving, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in a high volume and fastpaced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with root cause investigations and drug & alcohol testing protocols
  • Strong safety focus and holding people accountable for safety practices.
  • Proven experience with the Microsoft Office suite and ERP/WMS systems
  • 2+ years' experience on a sitdown forklift and 1+ years' experience on a standup reach forklift, rideon electric power jack, clamp attachment, and loading/unloading product from warehouse and truck trailers.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle or dependable transport to work.
