The Security Analyst plays a supporting role in the operation, administration, and implementation of IT security solutions, maintaining the security of critical information assets and seeing to the ongoing maturity of the CWB Group Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Through the implementation and maintenance of relevant technologies and the adherence to information security policies and procedures, the Security Analyst provides support to the AVP, Security Operations focusing on technical operations, incident escalation, and policy alignment.

Analyze business needs and requirements with respect to information security and recommend technical implementations and solutions.

Monitors CWB Group infrastructure to ensure necessary security updates, patches, and preventative measures are in place and in alignment to CWB Group policy.

Conducts security reviews and audits against established configuration policies and procedures.
Perform intrusion detection analysis and vulnerability assessments to provide proactive and timely response to security incidents.

Provide enforcement of policies, standards, and procedures for information security and access controls based on industry best practice and at the direction of the Information Services leadership group.

Perform the support, monitoring, maintenance, and sustainment of the security infrastructure and technologies that underpin the service level objectives identified in the service catalogue.

Develop and maintain up-to-date operational, installation, configuration, and upgrade documentation for security infrastructure technologies within given authority.

Monitor and update security infrastructure and technologies with respect to up-to-date malware prevention, signatures, heuristic detection, content analysis, and incident identification.

Follow established procedures for problem, incident, request, change configuration, and release management.
Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning.
Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect and support an environment where people can contribute and excel.
College diploma or university degree in the field of Computing Science.
Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the field of information technology or information security.

Awareness of information security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).

Knowledge of information security technologies including Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) systems, network and application firewalls, intrusion prevention, web proxies, encryption, vulnerability management, public key infrastructure (PKI), malware prevention.

Experience with enterprise Microsoft Server technology infrastructure.
Knowledge of network environments and networking concepts and/or services including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
Experience using SQL, Linux, UNIX, or shell scripting (e.g. PowerShell) is considered an asset.
Experience with the financial services industry is considered an asset.

Ability to use critical judgement to make decisions and solve problems involving various levels of complexity, ambiguity, and risk.
