Duties:

  • Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Engage children in ageappropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and educational play.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children's care, such as tidying up play areas and washing dishes used during mealtime.
  • Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency and stability for the children.
  • Help with homework assignments and provide educational support as needed.
  • Ensure children's safety at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is preferred but not required.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information about the family.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$16.55-$20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

  • Etobicoke, ON M9V 4T4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (preferred)
