Duties:

- Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and educational play.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children's care, such as tidying up play areas and washing dishes used during mealtime.
- Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency and stability for the children.
- Help with homework assignments and provide educational support as needed.
- Ensure children's safety at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.

Qualifications:

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is preferred but not required.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information about the family.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Etobicoke, ON M9V 4T4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
