Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The shipping clerk is responsible for the efficient and timely handling of all shipping and packaging functions for the Society and other buildings on campus

This would include:
fulfilling and processing outgoing mail.

The employee will work under the direct supervision of the person doing the training and direct supervision of the CEO/Office manager of The Society of the Little Flower.

The employee will operate the shipping equipment. The employee's work setting will primarily be the mail room and other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Daily sort and bundle all incoming mail delivered by Canada Post and received by the Society and place in designated containers.

Daily sort, fulfill and weigh all outgoing orders and mail affixing appropriate postage using postage meter and scale. Sort and fold all acknowledgment letters, weigh for mailing and process with outgoing mail. Perform additional office duties as instructed and assigned. Additional assignments within the Shipping area will be routinely assigned by the trainer.
