Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.


The Opportunity:
Equitable Life is looking for a Group Administration Specialist to join our team.

What you will be doing:

  • Update and validate plan member and plan sponsor information
  • Assist plan members and plan sponsors with account activations
  • Administer pay direct drug cards including problem solving utilizing provider's software
  • Terminate and reinstate plan members, divisions and group contracts to ensure that only eligible claims are paid
  • Provide support to other applicable Group departments by assessing and confirming member eligibility
  • Request medical evidence of insurability when necessary
  • Interpret system audit reports and take corrective action when required

What you will bring:

  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, judgement, creative problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle high work volume within a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work independently, accepting accountability and ownership of work; able to work in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities and prioritization skills
  • A strong orientation to identifying and helping to implement continuous improvements ideas
  • Background in group benefits administration an asset
  • ACS/LOMA/CEBS designation an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English an asset
