Title Searching / Archival Assitant

Tarasick McMillan Kubicki Limited provides land surveying services in GTA with a focus on Mississauga and surrounding municipalities of Oakville, Brampton, and Etobicoke.

We have an immediate opening for Title Searcher / Archivist.


We have completed over 20,000 subdivision plans, condominiums plans, reference plans, legal and topographic surveys, control and engineering surveys, design plans and sketches, specialized plans, layouts and more.

We maintain a 60-year archive of all records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in researching properties in respect to legal description, survey information, and zoning
  • Assisting with title searching using Teraview/Teranet software and Land Registry Office information
  • Scanning/digitizing current and historical survey records, assisting in maintaining physical and digital company survey archives
  • Filing completed projects according to company standard methods and procedures

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Library Sciences/Information Management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of land planning and land registry office terminology
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with land surveying plans is an asset
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Employment
This is a permanent full-time position (40 hrs/week)

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
