We are looking for a highly motivated co-op student to join our Capital Markets Finance team in Toronto - part of a world-class, winning culture that prioritizes people development and focuses on long-term growth.

Please note this is a 4-month co-op position.

Job responsibilities:

Supporting the Data and Platforms teams within Capital Markets Finance, the student will:
Support process improvement initiatives within Capital Markets Finance Data and Platforms teams
Gather business requirements, document business procedures and process flows, and execute testing for new solutions
Produce reporting and analytics on capital markets and operational data
Collaborate on ad hoc assignments and projects to deliver value to our stakeholders across OMERS

Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree specializing in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
Strong interest in pursuing a career in Capital Markets or FinTech
An understanding of investment products including bonds, equities, derivatives, and alternative investments
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Analytical, organized, and great attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work well with others
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with data engineering tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI) is an asset
