We are looking for a Distribution Center Manager for our Surrey warehouse to lead and manage all operations arelated to the functioning of the distribution center to achieve facility and company goals for operating ratio, growth and services for the assigned geographic area.

Our facility operates M onday through Friday from 7:30AM to 4:00PM.

As Distribution Center Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Direct responsibility over the daily operations of the distribution center, including but not limited to: accounting practices, inventory control, warehouse and personnel management
  • Development and implementation of systems and personnel to meet requirements for customer service
  • Financial control and reporting functions for the Distribution Center including P&L responsibility
  • Responsible for developing business opportunities in assigned territory and cultivating customers over the longterm and will actively work to meet and exceed sales goals with new and established customers
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans with the goal to exceed territory revenue, gross margin and other key financial metrics
  • Develop account plans in connection with sales management
  • Follow up on leads to qualify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Support marketing promotions and trade shows in order to develop new opportunities
  • Residential and Commercial specifications and bid process as required to maximize profitability for the Division and the factory
  • Ensures order processing, invoicing, credit management in the system and in accordance with established procedures
  • Develop customer strategy for the distribution center that promotes strategic business growth, customer retention, customer satisfaction, and improve customer relations
  • Manages employees through the planning and coordination of work; training of team members; motivation; performs ongoing monitoring and evaluation of employee success
  • Develops and recommends annual budget requirements for the warehouse and receiving department

Requirements for the position:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Postsecondary education preferred
  • 5 years experience in the Garage Door industry or in a field directly relating to Distribution Center Management including warehousing, receiving, and inventory control
  • 3 years experience in development of sales and marketing
  • 2 years in a supervisory capacity with direct responsibility for personnel selection and development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to multitask and handle multiple projects without sacrificing quality of work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all members of the organization
  • Budgeting and reporting
  • Sales analysis and forecasting
