L'Administration portuaire Vancouver-Fraser est responsable de la gestion du port de Vancouver, qui est le port du Canada le plus grand et le plus diversifié. Notre mandat comme administration portuaire canadienne, selon la définition figurant dans la Loi maritime du Canada, est d'assurer les objectifs d'échanges commerciaux au Canada, en instituant des conditions de sécurité et de responsabilité pour la circulation de marchandises à travers le port de Vancouver. En d'autres termes, il s'agit de fournir l'infrastructure et de garantir un fonctionnement sûr et efficace de la circulation maritime et des marchandises au sein du port. Nous devons également, en conséquence, mener des études des activités et des aménagements proposés sur les terrains et les eaux portuaires du gouvernement fédéral pour déterminer si un projet peut aller de l'avant sans effets sur l'environnement et la collectivité qui ne peuvent être atténués.

L'auditeur, l'auditrice interne principal(e)( est membre de l'équipe de gestion des risques et d'assurance qui fournit des services d'assurance et de conseil indépendants et objectifs à la direction de l'administration portuaire et au Conseil d'administration. Les services de contrôle interne visent à étayer la réalisation de la stratégie de l'administration portuaire par une démarche fondée sur les risques qui a pour objet d'évaluer et d'améliorer l'efficacité des processus de gouvernance, de gestion des risques et de contrôle.

Sous la direction du gestionnaire, audit interne, le ou la titulaire de ce poste travaille en étroite collaboration avec le directeur de la gestion et de l'assurance des risques et le partenaire co-source du contrôle interne et il ou elle est chargé(e) d'étayer activement tous les aspects du processus de vérification interne.

Responsabilités
- Effectuer une évaluation préliminaire des risques afin de comprendre l'environnement de l'audit, y compris les principaux risques et contrôles commerciaux.
- Planifier la mission et préparer le programme d'audit pour chaque mission.
- Exécuter les procédures de vérification sous la direction du gestionnaire, Audit interne ou du directeur, de la gestion et de l'assurance des risques, y compris préparer des documents de travail de vérification détaillés; mettre au point des procédures d'essai pour diverses vérifications qui exigent le recours à des aptitudes de pensée critique et de jugement, et mener des entrevues avec les intervenants qui participent au processus de vérification.
- Participer à l'évaluation des constatations de l'audit et, aux fins de la rédaction du rapport d'audit, formuler les observations préliminaires de l'audit et formuler les recommandations à la direction.
- Se conformer aux normes professionnelles pertinentes pendant l'exécution des tâches et responsabilités individuelles.
- Participer activement aux activités de suivi de la Vérification interne afin de surveiller et de documenter les progrès des mesures correctives prises par la direction.
- Préparer des rapports périodiques sur le statut des mesures correctives à l'intention du directeur, Gestion et assurance des risques, de la haute direction et du Comité d'audit et de gestion des risques
