The Legal Administrator (Product Development) is responsible for supporting the legal team with product development formatting and proofreading, ensuring that policies and procedures are well-structured, clear, and effectively communicated, as well as legal document management

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

  • Formatting_
  • Document Formatting: Ensure that policy documents adhere to consistent formatting guidelines, including font styles, headings, margins, and spacing.
  • Visual Consistency: Maintain a uniform look and feel across all policy documents, making them visually appealing and easy to read.
  • Version Control: Keep track of policy versions and ensure that updates are reflected consistently throughout all related documents.
  • Publication and Distribution_
  • Publication: Oversee the publication of policy documents within the organization. This includes uploading them to the company intranet, document management systems, or other relevant platforms.
  • Distribution: Ensure that policies reach the intended audience promptly. Coordinate with relevant departments to disseminate policy updates effectively.
  • Collaboration_
  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to content creators regarding formatting improvements while maintaining a positive and constructive approach.
  • Quality Assurance_
  • Proofreading: Review policy documents for consistency, grammar, and spelling errors.
  • Accessibility: Ensure that policy documents are accessible to all employees, considering factors like readability and language complexity.
  • Legal Document Management_
  • Filing and organizing documents in document management systems for easy retrieval

Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for formatting details, such as font size, alignment, and bullet points.
  • Proficiency in

Document Software:
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Word

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple policy documents and versions efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Clear communication with content creators and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changes in formatting guidelines or software updates.
  • Proven track record in customer service with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical, organizational and time management skills; must be detailoriented.
  • Ability to conceptualize details and develop action plans for problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities.
  • Previous experience working in a property & casualty insurance company is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) is an asset
