What is required of the staff at Yard Burger/The Good Fight Taco?

  • Communication & Teamwork are key.
  • Ability to work under pressure. We serve a wide range of clientele from the lunch business crowd to hordes of Jets & Sea Bears fans and concert goers of all kinds. We are very busy event nights, so you need to be able to work quickly when it matters most.
  • Cleaning, prepping and stocking. Preparation is the key to success. That means leaving the restaurant clean and stocked for your coworkers so everyone is doing their share and everyone is ready to ensure a great experience for all guests.
  • Availability to work evening shifts (start times between 2 PM & 5 PM and end times between 9 PM & 11 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • Ensure that food is stored properly and at the correct temperature
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations

Skills:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
