MANAGER OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

JOB SUMMARY


The Project Coordinator - Employment will focus on facilitation, reporting and coordination, while overseeing Employment Case Management Workers who will focus on expanding our company relationships to offer a wider variety of opportunities to participants, as well as assist with employment services currently offered.

The Project Coordinator - Employment is also responsible for helping to evaluate services, and provide management with key information, statistics and recommendations.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a relevant postsecondary program or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' working in Mental Health and Addictions
  • Advanced speaking and writing skills to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously with the public and other agencies, over the telephone and in person
  • NVCI, CPR/First Aid, ASIST and asset or willingness to obtain
  • Flexibility in schedule to meet program and participant needs, including evening and weekends
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and French
  • Experience with proposals, financials, negotiating contracts and building partnerships
  • Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record and Adult/ Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills to selfmanage and multitask
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database software
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal with confidential matters
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Complete WHMIS training and understand the safety precautions and emergency procedures of potential hazards
  • Bilingual language an asset

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Network Building And Resource Development

  • Develop and maintain collateral agency contacts to promote referrals to their services, understand admissions criteria, and build pathways to streamlined access
  • Coordinate meetings with referrals and management to foster sustainable connections
  • Establish an employment service directory that will effectively distribute information regarding access to services or programs

Client Services

  • Advocacy on client's behalf will occur when necessary and permitted
  • Clients will be encouraged, respected and supported throughout the duration of their time
  • Progress is consistently reviewed with participant, staff and management and adjustments made as necessary
  • Support services are appropriate to client needs and appropriate referrals made as needed
  • Crisis situations are accurately assessed, addressed, and documented in progress notes before the end of the day
  • Facilitate Pre-Employment workshops
  • All support work done will follow all rules of confidentiality laid out by PHIA and will be documented in accordance to policy and procedures. Release of information to any parties must be agreed to by client

Marketing, Outreach, Partnership And Community Development

  • Develop partnerships with business for education and participant work placements
  • Accurate program information is always provided/referred to the business community
  • Develop networks through Community organizations
  • Long term and repeat placements resulting from constructive relationships with existing placements
  • Develop partnerships for access to training and supports for participants
  • Develop marketing materials and plan to recruit participants and advertise program
  • Provide accurate information about the program and response to questions are provided to the public
  • Promote social enterprise and social change to increase employment opportunities
  • Serve on community committees as approved or appointed by Manager
  • Attend community events/forums as needed
  • Create and facilitate presentations and workshops to participants, staff, and employers/partnering agencies
  • Demonstrate a personal demeanor and professional behavior, and engage in staff/client relationships, that reflect the Mission and Vision of Sara Riel

Program Development

  • Bring forward recommendations/ideas for program improvement/changes for approval
  • Development of procedures and guidelines is collaborative
  • Feedback on draft procedures and guidelines is provided
  • Relay information acquired in training to fellow staff members
  • Outcomes and statistics are achieved yearly, adjustments made as needed

Development

  • Assist with grant proposals as required
  • Donor and gift recordkeeping, keep CRM database current
  • Prepare documentation to assist with fundraising events and recognitions
  • Manage databases, records, files, and gift processing
  • Ensure Constant Contact is kept current, including categorizations
  • Develop and maintain Outlook contact groups for mailings

Administrative/Other Duties

  • Serve as a team member of the admissions process
