Carpenter with Experience in Maintenance

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, and hardware.
  • Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures.
  • Select and use appropriate tools and equipment for various carpentry tasks.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.

Skills:

  • Proficient in blueprint reading to understand project requirements.
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble wooden structures using various tools and techniques.
  • Ability to deal with various finishes including fine detail (trim, drywall, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of different types of wood and their properties.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices accurately.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems for carpentry projects involving wiring or lighting installations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in carpentry, including experience with baseboard, drywall, trim, installing windows and doors, soffits, evestrough, siding, painting, and wall prep.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different sites as needed.
