This executive leadership position is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), responsible for leading overall organizational success and directly leading the technology strategy and the team accountable for implementing it.

This involves effective collaboration with business, data & analytics, and key stakeholders to define long-term strategy and roadmaps, drive efficiency, adopt shared technology solutions, and set priorities toward common goals.

You will also provide company-wide oversight of all information technologies, maintenance, systems, and the implementation of security controls defined by the CISO.

This includes demonstrated competency in the leading and execution in the following areas:

v endor management, stakeholder management, design & maturity of operating models, business case knowledge and decision making, risk management and communication.

The ability to balance the needs of the organization from a high-level strategy, down to the hands-on day-to-day support of staff and projects is important.

Lead and develop an Information Systems and Technology strategy and an annual workplan to achieve defined business goals.
Oversight of external relationships with vendors and contractors with defined statement of work and KPI's.

Engagement and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, such as Broker and BMS vendors for broker connectivity, regulatory bodies, etc.

Ensuring process and accountability, maturing in the models, and supporting tools and automation where possible, or effective partnerships to meet goals.

Provide vision and innovative solutions that help RRM differentiate within areas of competitive differentiation.
Champion change based on projects for both internal and external stakeholders.

Work closely with Executives across our business divisions to develop and prioritize projects related to introduction of new products or processes related to their business unit.

Provide insight and projected cost benefit analysis and budget implications on infrastructure related projects that impact their business unit.

Direction of the planning, integrity, availability, and management of business continuity to ensure business recovery/continuity plans of key business processes are stable including response to a major disruptive incident.

Collaborate with CISO to ensure the safety of our systems and all data, consistent with a strong set of controls that are defined, monitored, and audited on a regular basis.

Collaborate with the VP, Data & Analytics to build data pipelines from our operating environments to our analytic environments with strong data quality goals and outcomes.

Oversee the development and implementation with all stakeholders approved policies, procedures, and practices for Technology operations and best management practices.

Design and develop short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
Oversee desktop support and end user experience service.

Manage overall legal and compliance to ensure all applicable laws and legislation around privacy and governance are met including but not limited to: CASL, PCI, GDRP etc.


Systems, Projects & Technology:
Oversee the evolution and implementation of our digital transformation and journey.

Lead the technology team with organizing priorities for the development and implementation of new products and features of company's information systems and technology.

Monitor and report on progress with workplans, resource utilization, and production quality and performance to the Senior Leadership Team

Oversite and development of a release management strategy that provides effective delivery for all projects, defect repair, and change requests.

Monitor and improve systems development and delivery processes and the effectiveness of controls for the design, timely delivery, and quality assurance of all systems.

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences.
Development and management of departmental budgets, and internal/external staffing plans
Strong executive presence & thought leadership to organization, CEO and Senior Leadership Team.

Exceptional ability to communicate assumptions and risks in a meaningful manner, on diverse topics (transformation, projects, operations, cyber security) and for diverse audiences ranging from individual contributors to the board level.

Thorough understanding of Information Systems and Technology practices and procedures.

Excellent negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills with a record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
To motivate, coach and hold accountable staff under your direction in the business.
Administer timely performance reviews, education needs, rewards and direction setting.
A successful track record of building and retaining top talent and leading high performing teams.
Intellectually agile, leverages deep and broad knowledge, to build on diverse ideas and perspectives. Creates consensus around compelling visions to support the short and long-term goals and deliverables of the company.
Manages performance, provides constructive and respectful feedback and mentorship to encourage and enable performance excellence. Tailors' language, tone, style, and format to match the audience.

Enables and manages resources to deliver on the priorities of Red River Mutual, to improve outcomes and add value.

Is flexible and adaptable in meeting changing demands of clients and stakeholders.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of broad-based technical leadership in IT/Technology at a senior level; ideally with 5+ years' leadership experience managing a diverse team across multiple technology disciplines,
Post-secondary education degree or higher in Computer Science, Management and/or equivalent
Experience with the Guidewire Insurance Suite or a comparable core insurance application an asset.
Professional Certifications related to technology or insurance industries preferred (Guidewire | Agile | Scrum | PMP | LEAN | BA | OCM | ITIL | PCI | CISSP | CISM | ISP | CIPS etc.)
