BC Timber Sales (BCTS) belongs to the Ministry of Forests and operates based on forest sector safety, reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, and sustainable forest management.

Role Overview: The Operations Manager handles business negotiations and provides leadership in forest resource planning, First Nation and partner relations, data stewardship, and environmental and safety certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage forestry functions carried out by professional and technical staff.
  • Lead or participate in corporate Working Groups.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in resource management, public administration, aboriginal studies, or equivalent with at least five years of related experience.

  • Experience in program administration, resource allocation, team leadership, strategic planning, procurement, and financial management.
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in natural resource management or infrastructure development.
