Responsibilities:

  • Supervising yard personnel including hiring and disciplinary actions as/if required
  • Executing production scheduling and requirements as per the Fleet Forecasting under the direction of the Yard Supervisor and Operations Manager
  • Ensuring yard productivity standards are met and maintaining KPI's
  • Compiling yard workers production sheets and ensuring daily data summarization for Profield entry
  • Ensuring yard housekeeping is in an acceptable condition at all times and delegate/coordinate activities with yard personnel
  • Coordinating and scheduling all overtime activities with the Yard Supervisor
  • Ensuring safety policies are adhered to by yard staff and will assist in executing training activities
  • Assisting and ensuring the nonrental fleet inventory consumables are maintained and counted monthly
  • Coordinating equipment repair and maintenance and ensures tools are in working order for yard workers
  • Coordinating physical/cycle counts
  • Approved Overtime will be paid at time and a half

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingual speaker (French/English) is preferred but not mandatory
  • Five (5) years related working experience or equivalent
  • Experience with a unionized environment (an asset, but not a requirement, this is a nonunion yard)
  • Experience with the following programs would be an asset: Profield software, Microsoft Outlook and Office (Excel and Word)
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken
  • Ability to deal with problems in various situations personnel and operational issues
  • Proactive Leadership skills, managing and motivating staff
  • Ability to work with changing/conflicting deadlines
