We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (RCO) to support the NRC Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre (AST).
The Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre has the mandate to advance product and process technologies for producing more fuel-efficient, affordable, and environmentally responsible ground vehicles and to deliver engineering solutions to complex technology challenges facing surface transportation industries.
Screening Criteria:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Preference will be given to a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Graduation from Business Administration or a program specializing in Project Management could be considered an asset.

Experience:
- Experience in managing project activities dealing with the evaluation of vehicle systems performance, including rail, military, and commercial vehicles;
- Significant experience engaging internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment;
- Experience working with and reporting to expert and technical committees would be an asset; and
- Experience in project management in a research and technology environment would an asset.
- Significant experience is defined as minimum of 2 years experience.

- Understanding of engineering and testing principles related to ground transportation;

- Ability to coordinate activities, running meetings, tracking progress and communicating with stakeholders (internal and external); and
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
