Professor, Software Development - Data Analytics and Machine Learning

Salary:
Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees

What you will do:


The incumbent will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations.


The incumbent will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.

The applicant must be well-versed in
Data Analytics and Machine Learning techniques. Practical experience in programming languages such as C#, Python, and SQL, cloud platforms and data lake technologies such as Hadoop, Amazon Web Services, or Azure is required.

The applicant should have extensive experience in managing large data sets.

The incumbent must be familiar with the changes and trends in related industry, to plan, update and develop curriculum and hands-on practical training components, according to the needs and demands of related industry.
