The Opportunity

  • Our Operations Specialists team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Winnipeg, Manitoba to support system improvement projects for a term length of 4, 8, 12 or 16 months.
We are seeking an Intern student who can actively assist the Operations Specialist team with their work goals.

The Operations Specialists team falls under Canada Gas Operations and has the primary goals of providing support to help resolve equipment issues on gas compression assets, identify and prioritize equipment related upgrades and execute maintenance capital projects.

What you'll do- Provide support to Operations Specialists on execution on system improvement projects to improve the reliability of compression assets (service and material requisitions, vendor scheduling, resource coordination, compiling equipment load sheets, performing drawing as-built updates). Collect asset data and support analysis to improve system reliability. Assist in the creation and management of equipment maintenance documentation. Assist in the management of equipment documentation. Provide support and/or lead facility and equipment health reports. This is a field-based position requiring occasional travel to sites to support equipment maintenance and upgrade projects.
Minimum Qualifications- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program, specializing in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least two semesters of education complete Enrollment at an accredited University, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity and collaboration Legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work permit Hold a valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development- Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for reviewAbout our business
