Job Description

Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard.

They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

What you're responsiblefor:
Setting goalsfor performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
Organizingworkflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records
Sharinginformation from upper management to employees and vice versa
Preparingand submit performance reports
Ensuringadherence to legal and company policies and procedures
Undertakingdisciplinary actions if the need arises
Leading by example as a hands-on manager
Qualifications
Proven experience as supervisor will be considered an asset
Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset
Knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts
Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
